I am the proud mother of Nasir Valentine and founder of the Nasir Valentine Memorial Art Scholarship Program (NVMAS). Though Nasir’s life was tragically cut short at the young age of 24, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched. I was driven to create a lasting tribute to my son, celebrating his remarkable talent as a cartoonist, his boundless love for children, and his unwavering commitment to helping others. In his honor, I established the NVMAS which is a non profit orginazation. We are geared to empowering students that wish to pursue their artistic passion, just as Nasir did. Our mission is to provide financial assistance to deserving students in the filed of art. We aspire to support one student per semester each year, with an ambitious goal of expanding our reach and impact as we grow.
